My name is Justin Reeves and here is the story of where it began.
In January of 1997, after a flood swept through Reno, NV devastating my place of employment, my father at the time had been working in the industry for over 20 years and taught me everything he knew about Pest Control. I truly found my lifelong career at that point. With my oldest son graduating this spring, he too will soon be a true pest control professional. My wife, Tes, is our office manager and truly runs the whole show and I'm sure many of you have been lucky enough to speak with her, but if not, give her a call. She also has the knowledge to help with most of your pest questions and concerns.
When I left a national pest control company I was working for in 2010 to start our family business, Halo Pest Elimination, some thought I was nuts, and still others thought I was crazy for calling the company "elimination" rather than control. However, I believe that elimination is definitely achievable through proper IPM protocols, as well as a close relationship with our customers to ensure sanitation and structural issues are immediately addressed.
Each of the products we use in treating in and around your home are considered "reduced risk" to humans and pets. If you speak to one of our competitors and they state their products are "safe", ask yourself this, how can any product be "safe" when its purpose is to eliminate the target pest? Safe when referring to any pesticide, herbicide, fungicide, termiticide, or rodenticide is a false statement when all of the products are designed to end some form of life. So, as I stated earlier, all of our products are "reduced risk". Anyone who states safe when speaking of any insecticide is breaking the law!
With that being said, we have NEVER had an incident involving a person, pet, etc., becoming ill or showing ANY adverse effects from our "reduced risk" products or applications. I am sharing this information in order to be totally honest with everyone.
